More About Heathrow Express Trains
Heathrow Express is a train service from Heathrow Airport to Paddington in central London operated by the Heathrow Express Operating Authority—a wholly owned subsidiary of BAA. The service is not part of the National Rail system, despite part of its journey sharing track with National Rail trains and terminating at a London mainline station. Operated by BAA, Heathrow Express carries an average of 15,000 passengers every day and over 30 million people have travelled on the service since its launch in 1998. Heathrow Express Train Schedules / Timetables
The service operates from approximately 0500 until 0000, with trains every 15 minutes. At Paddington, it uses two dedicated platforms (6 and 7). There are two stops at Heathrow: Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3 station (journey time from Paddington approximately 15 minutes), and Heathrow Terminal 4 station (journey time approximately 22 minutes). Once the new Terminal 5 opens, Heathrow Express services will no longer call at Terminal 4, which will become the new terminus for Heathrow Connect. Heathrow Express Train Routes
Departing from London's Paddington station every fifteen minutes, Heathrow Express delivers an airline-style experience the moment you step through the doors. The service runs along the Great Western Main Line from Paddington to airport junction (Network Rail owned infrastructure). The line from airport junction to the airport terminals is owned by BAA. Heathrow is the UK’s busiest international airport. The airport has 4 terminals which serve over 180 destinations in over 90 countries. It is therefore important to check with your airline prior to travel to establish which terminal you require and confirm details of flight departure and arrival times. The Central Terminal Area is located beneath terminals 1, 2 and 3. When leaving the train, you will see signage that will direct you to your terminal. If you are unsure about which terminal you are flying from, please ask a member of staff on the train or at the station. Terminal 4 flight departures are located a short walk from the Heathrow Express platforms. When leaving the train, follow the signs for the terminal as shown below, which will direct you to the lifts and escalators to take you up to departures and arrivals. From all Heathrow Airport terminals, signage can be found directing you to the Heathrow Express station.
